Original Crogan Adventures Art/Pages
To help pay the bills, afford reference books and art supplies, and show the missus that the hours spent in my studio are financially worthwhile, I supplement my income by selling the original art that is reprinted and published in the Crogan Adventures books. Each of these pages is hand-drawn and lettered with black ink over colored pencil, and is noticeably bigger than print size - each piece of paper is 11"x17," with the drawing area about 10"x15."
Why might you want to own a piece of original comic art? There are a number of reasons. Maybe you want to be a comic artist yourself, or already are one. Looking at an original gives you a great sense of how an artist actually drew it, what tools he or she used, where he or she messed up and how it was fixed. I collect originals by artists that I like for this reason; they can be an invaluable learning tool. Maybe you're a big fan of the books, and want something that went into their making hanging up in your home, as a conversation starter and a trophy of sorts. Maybe you want it as an investment. Some comic art fetches high prices as the series they started becomes more an more popular. I wouldn't advise you to buy mine with this as your motive, as there's no way to guarantee the popularity of the series, but I do promise to continue working hard to make it as good as I possibly can.
For convenience, I now list all of the available pages for the Crogan Adventures series, which I am currently selling at $100 dollars apiece.
