That way you have the composition with a taste of the action. I say this as the graphic novel buyer for a children's bookstore trying to get the attention of 10-14 year-olds.

The second is interesting, but doesn't promise action and adventure. The composition is much more dynamic and immediately caught my eye.

But if you did BOTH of them, I would walk by your table and say something like, "Wow! You did TWO! These are BOTH great! Can I have one of each?"

Just sayin'.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1083122230647551113.post-18844474707073934012008-09-12T12:17:00.000-04:002008-09-12T12:17:00.000-04:00you know where i stand. I still think by popping a low transparency version of the first one, in the tower, you'll have it.Shawn Crystalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11618003211611341840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1083122230647551113.post-70709793557905578302008-09-10T06:49:00.000-04:002008-09-10T06:49:00.000-04:00I guess I'm in the minority so far. I don't feel the sweat beads compete with the splinters either.

Both of them are really neat!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00423051076809524563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1083122230647551113.post-67934153372772432592008-09-10T01:55:00.000-04:002008-09-10T01:55:00.000-04:00I like the second one as well...but...I would like...I like the second one as well...but...

I would like it more if he was waving. I think it gives a better sense of a new historical setting (playing into your emphasis of a SERIES) while the one on the right could just be a fight scene from any era (even though the costume is there...) The calmness of the scene in #2 gives you time to consider the costume!Alec Longstrethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14666833759420519261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1083122230647551113.post-837487914022966832008-09-09T16:06:00.000-04:002008-09-09T16:06:00.000-04:00I like the second one better.
